I don't really have much to say lately.
A lot is going on in the world of Erin, but really..
too much for me to say.

My life is boring, and it's not.

I start work on Monday.
My throat hurts.
I just accidentally bounced an $8 check and got charged $30.

Whee.

I'm a lot happier than this post seems to be :P

I just realized..
I'm pretty much the worst at being a girl.
I don't know how to do makeup.
I can't style my hair.
I haven't even CUT my hair in months.
Don't really know a thing about fashion.
Barely wear anything other than jeans.
...and it's really frustrating!

I can't even do things with hair or makeup that are supposed to be "super easy!"
I'm tired of wandering around looking like i just rolled out of bed :(

+ iPod is fixed (apparently a corrupted file made it think the disk was unreadable)
+ I've got a decent paying job lined up, with the contract ending right before spring session.
+ My friend Mike moved back to the city (So I'm not the only person who can't stand Vancouver!)
+ Other friends should be moving back to town soon
+ Going shopping tonight for office lady shoes!
+ Should be able to go to school for spring session
+ A couple wicked parties are happening right around my birthday again.
+ Wicked August plans

Maybe things are finally changing? :)

I'm spamming this here again only because I really believe in GrooveCo's vision. (And I have tickets to sell lol)

For anyone out there who likes electronic music, but hates "raves" or whatever they call Polish hall parties and the like these days, GrooveCo is putting on an awesome party at The Palace on April 7, 2007.

This party is aimed at increasing the positive vibes in the city, and, of course, you having a kickassingly awesome night. It is also in support of the food bank, as I mentioned in a previous post.

We'll be featuring Gemini (from Calgary's The Warehouse) & The Rainbow Kid (Happy Hardcore from Calgary!! :D) as well as a bunch of new local DJs.

If you're at all interested, send me a comment. Tickets are also available from Treehouse but it will be $30 from me and about $35 (with service fee) from them :P

Flyer is Here! )

I have to head to Grant Mac now, to pick up a brochure for spring session classes (hey, I can hope, can't I?) and meet Clayton to pick up my promotional package for Groove. It feels very far away. I know it's only 8 blocks but it's cold outside :( :( Also, my iPod is being a pain in the butt. For some reason last night when I plugged it into the mac to be charged (this is usual because both my USB cable and my AC adapter seem to be missing), it decided to delete all my music and playlists on my Windows-formatted iPod, transfer over 12 gigs of random songs, then crash, saying that the disk was corrupted and cannot be read. I formatted it, but I forgot to transfer any music to it :( So it's off to GMAC, in the cold, and in silence.

Later.

Sunday was fun fun fun. I went to a family friend's "cabin" (a 6-bedroom house with hardwood floors, 2 ovens, a swimming pool and a hot tub) at Devil's Lake, and went snowmobiling. I was absolutely terrified when Renzo was driving but then he insisted that I drive, and it was a ton of fun. Even though, since I don't know how to drive *anything* I didn't go very fast.

I bought a ton of good organic food today, including some mini mandarins. Aren't they cute?

I also got a new plant. It's a Samurai Gerbera. It is yellow, because yellow makes me happy. It's name is Hiro. :)

I'm going to be laying low for awhile. I'm helping out with the Groove Party on April 7th (click here for flyer) which is going to be an excellent good time, and is in support of the Edmonton Food Bank. If anyone wants more info, tickets, or would like to help out by donating some non-perishable food (if you want to help out but aren't interesting in attending), please let me know! Also going to be continuing the End Zone nights as long as there is continued interest. I'd love to see some of you there! </shameless>

Other than that, I'm exploring possibilities for jobs I won't hate, working on getting $5000 (for a macbook and the required savings for my NZ Visa), and trying to behave more like an adult. I want to get healthy, I want to return to school in Sept, and I want to cook tons of healthy meals for myself & Renzo, because neither of us is really that good at healthy eating habits. And the working holiday idea is back on. It was a good idea, and I never should have abandoned it. A year of working on farms abroad, as well as spending my free time exploring and working on my correspondence classes, will be fantastically good for me. I'm aiming for 2009.

I have a lot of work to do.

But for tonight.. cleaning the kitchen & HEROES! Delicious pasta for supper in a couple hours.

Later :)

PS: One of my mirrors committed suicide. At least it was kind enough to land in the sink.

My bathroom is just a little less sketchy now. (Thx BJ <3 )

Before:

After:

Next project: fixing my bad paint job, and finding some tiny shelves to put up on the wall to the left of the mirror.

I'm determined to make this house livable. I've got a lot of work to do :S
